Installation of ground-mounted solar panels for Calcaires de la Sambre by Skysun:

Skysun has installed ground-mounted solar panels for Calcaires de la Sambre, a company specialising in quarrying. This installation will enable the company to produce a significant proportion of its energy in a sustainable way, reducing its carbon footprint by 390 tonnes/year while optimising the use of the space available on its site. The solar panels installed by Skysun are specially designed to withstand the site’s industrial conditions, ensuring reliable and efficient energy production all year round, to the tune of 2,600 MWh/year.

‘Our ambition is to offer low-tech agrivoltaics with the right number of panels spaced and raised appropriately to allow the grassland in particular to grow normally and even better,’ said Arthur Dawans, Skysun’s managing director.
